Assalamualaikum
warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Hello everyone, my name is Andi Aidah Julita Normala,
people call me Aidah. I’m student of tourism polytechnic of Makassar and
majoring in travel business. I write this report with the im of telling
about my first trip. I travel for 2 days and the first day is to the city of
Maros and the second day in the city of Pangkep.
Day 1at Maros
The first day of the
trip to maros, started with gaiding on the bus and that was the first time I
did it. As we took turns, the students did gaiding, not forgetting, we also
noted important things to note, for example, various hotels that were passed by
on our left and that became our duty while listening to our friends gaiding.
About a few hours we arrived at one of the attractions in Maros, namely
Rammang-Rammang.
To go to Rammang-Rammang
Kampong Berua, we have to use sea transportation which is a boat from Salenrang
Pier about 1 hour more trip to get to Rammang-Rammang. As for the price of the
boat, it depends on the passengers, if passengers are 1-4, the price is 200 thousand
rupiah per boat, while for 7-10 people the price starts from 250-300 thousand
rupiah.
During the trip to the
village using the boat, I was presented with a beautiful view, cool, and calm.
Along the way I could see so many karst cliffs, palm trees, mangrove trees and
clear green water that was very comfortable to look at. After a few hours
of travel I finally arrived at Kampong Berua, in the Kampong Berua area there
are Goa Berlian, Goa Kingkong, and Ammarrung. And the price of admission to visit
the tourist attraction is five thousand rupiah.
And the first time
I visited was Goa Kingkong or the site of Pasaung, this relic was fifteen
thousand to twenty thousand years ago and became evidence of prehistoric human
life. The meaning of the word Pasaung is "Menbung" because in the
past this was a place for cockfighting the place where the jawara gathered
because cockfighting was one of the symbols of manhood at that time. And the
latest from this pasaung site is the ornament that people found on a rock wall
that resembles a kinkong / large monkey.
Next we went to
Ammarrung, ammarrung means Rumble. And unfortunately we were not lucky to see
the spring because it was dry. What I can see around there is the making of the
roof of a palm tree house by the men who are around the ammarrung. This roof
will be brought to the dock and sold for two thousand rupiah.
After from Ammarrung, we
also visited Goa Berlian, Goa Berlian was found by Mr. Alimin where he found it
to be very unique because it only started with a dream about the existence of
the cave and then Mr. Alimin went to check it and gouged it a little and it
turned out that his dream was true. This cave has been researched twice by
researchers from Germany and Indonesia and it is proven that the diamonds in
the cave are authentic.
After that, I also
gained knowledge from RBL lecturers on mangroves or mangroves, often called
coastal plants / tidal plants. This plant grows in brackish water and has fruit
that can be eaten and people usually mix it with lawara.
Day
2 at Pangkep
The second day we
visited "Blacksmith" in Pangkep located in the village of Temampua,
Pangkajene district. The owner of this blacksmith is Alm. H.kamaruddin, and
those who continue their business now are 2 of their children named Ippang and
Olle. I saw firsthand the process of making the first "machete" which
is iron heated first on charcoal made of teak wood. After it is heated, it is
beaten using a fairly large hammer and the base is called the Platform. After
that, we scrape using the Gurinda tool at the same time to sharpen the machete,
then attach the handle to make it easier to use the machete. Making this
machete takes approximately 1 hour, and one day this blacksmith can produce
16-20 machetes. The price of the machete if we buy directly at the place of
manufacture is 75,000 rupiahs while the market price is 100,000 rupiahs.
The types of iron that
can be used in making these machetes are ribbon iron, plate iron and pammoro
iron.
Next we visited
the Pangkep Traditional Market, first we visited the port to go to the islands
as I interviewed named Mrs. Hj.Andi Suryani this mother came from Karanrang
Island and went to the traditional Pangkep market to buy daily necessities as
well as selling her mixed food because on their island there is no market. The
trip to Karanrang island is approximately 1 hour away by boat but also depends
on the weather. The price of the boat is 12,000-15,000 rupiah for one trip, so
to commute can reach 24,000-30,000 rupiah.
Next we went
down the market, and bought some fruit to take home. While I was exploring the
market, I saw something that was the first time I encountered, namely Kaloa
Batu. I just found out that this was the main recipe for making Konro, the
seller said without this spice Konro would not taste good.
Next we visited
a well-known UKM namely MENTARI CITRA LESTARI with its famous product named
BATARI (Milkfish without thorns) which is located precisely at Jalan Terminal
Baru, Samalawa, Bungoro and this is the second branch of the business, the
second branch is in Biringkassi Hamlet , Bulucendea Village. The owner of this
business is Mrs. Ratnawati Mentari, a lecturer, entrepreneur and motivator.
This business has 13 products but the most in demand is BATARI, and this
business has cooperated with 4 countries namely Japan, China, Brunei and
Malaysia. This batari can last for 6 months if the temperature is controlled.
In a day,
employees there can produce 200 fish per day or normal according to the ability
of employees. The milkfish itself is obtained at the special milkfish TPI and
the price given is 5000 rupiah. The number of bones removed in this milkfish
is 164 bones, but removing them is easy using anatomical scissors. For prices
starting from:
- 200gr-250gr =
10,000
- 250gr-300gr =
12,000
- Specifically
for cooperating hotels = 35,000
The cities with
the most orders for BATARI are Jakarta, Papua, Kalimantan and Surabaya. Also
this business has been accredited and many students who do the internship in
the business.
Maybe that's all

add insight to friends. more and less please forgive, and don't forget to read
